The reason why I became a political science major is because I want to go deep into politics and learn how to have a meaningful discussions in the political and governmental world. Working with Reformation Strategies gave me that opportunity to do so. Being able to work with different political candidates and groups allowed me to network with others and bring some of my ideas to light. It has benefited my career as a future political consultant because I have the tools and knowledge to reach out to others and make deals and connections. I also have the knowledge to successfully run a political campaign. Going forward, I can work for various political action committees and other political consulting firms and put my best foot forward.
I feel that there are no educational requirements for this type of career, and that all you need are basic facts about American and Nevada Politics and an open mind. Going into Reformation Strategies, I had an open mind and I learned how to do all sorts of Research on candidates and different NRS statutes. Though, I will be earning my BA in Political Science, but that means I can bring more knowledge as I advance in the political consulting realm. I am very interested in going forward in my career as a political consultant because I can provide my future clients with the best service and the best consulting advice to help them go far in their race for office.
For new interns, all I can say is that you need to approach your internship with an open-mind. Being able to see new things and experience new things will help you decide if you want to pursue a career in the field you are interning with. Do not be afraid to ask questions, because questions allows us to truly learn the new material and ideas we are working with.

Hi Ryan,
I am glad that your internship experience was fulfilling. As a political science major, I think this is an amazing internship as it will further the knowledge that you gain in the classroom. I also agree with your advice about not being afraid to ask questions. Throughout my internship, I always asked questions to approach situations in the best way possible. Great post.
