Hello, my name is Erika Phengdy. My internship with the Nevada Policy Research Institute has been very beneficial and positive for my future career. I will defintiely utilyze everything that I have learn from NPRI. During my internship I was taught how to look up and find government employees and put their information into formatting. My future career will require me to look up imformation using very similar data base and principle. I acquired the neccessary credits and major in political science in order for me to be successful in this internship. After completing this intership, this has made my passion to obtain a law degree in immigration even stronger. I really want to help those that cannot help themselves. I will need to study hard for the LSAT and obtain a really great score on it to be admitted into Sam Boyd School of Law. One piece of advice I would like to give to all incoming interns, "Be passionate in what you do, work hard and also have fun doing it!"

Work hard and have fun- words to live by! Enjoyed getting to know you this summer!
Hi Erika! It's great that you found an internship that correlates with your career interests! I can tell that you learned a lot from this internship and are one step closer to reaching your goals as a future lawyer. I think these experiences are very beneficial as they teach us more about the field we are going into, provide us with relevant events going on and give us the hands on experience to implement solutions or work on new projects that will change the field's future.
