During my internship I had a great time at the UNLV Psychological Assessment and Testing Clinic. Before getting my internship I believe that having a good GPA and always responding to the supervisors emails were a must. I fortunately was offered a job for over the summer at this position and am excited to begin in May. I am very thankful for this opportunity and believe that it will greatly help with what I want to do after college. For this internship I do more of the office work, and work more in the "behind the scenes" of everything and really enjoy that. I am also gaining a lot of experience in clinical professionalism by speaking to clients seeking different types of psychological tests and also speaking to clinicians and supervisors. I would be very interested in working in this type of career after college. As I am quite an introverted person I prefer to work in the "background" of things and I also just really enjoy the clinical side of psychology and learning about the different types of tests that are administered. I think the main skill I need to have to excel in this type of position is professionalism, escpecially with clients because many are coming in for different reasons. Training for this position went pretty smoothly and I was able to catch on to the way things run quickly. I really appreciate this opportunity and am excited for how my career will develop from this.
