This internship was a fantastic opportunity to show my skills in a fast-paced legal setting. While working as a legal intern I got the ability to spearhead cases from beginning to end. I had the pleasure of working with some of the most hardworking individuals in the valley. While daunting at first, I was able to show my abilities in this field. I feel vastly better about my self-confidence, public speaking, and customer service skills. Although graduating with a degree in Anthropology, business savvy skills are always a key indicator of success in an individual. If you can handle yourself in environments that require you to make good decisions and rely on accuracy to the utmost degree then a job in the legal field is for you. A lot came from the wonderful team at the Steven Parke law office and other interns that worked alongside me. I believe this internship opened my eyes to a small business mindset and the daily struggles and victories that you get to experience on a daily basis. Sometimes you cannot get this luxury when you are part of a larger team of experts. This was a fantastic opportunity and I highly recommend that other people join the family here and learn what it is like to help people at some of their lowest moments.
