My internship opportunity at Higbee and Associates has helped me in my career through providing basic office skills and familiarization with handling court documents. I plan to pursue a career in law so I have become more empowered in my skills to review court documents. I have also noticed that being in an attorney's office has helped me become familiarized with the jargon that is used in those spaces. Furthermore, my legal team plans to help me understand more in depth material related to expungement and case sealings. This internship is related to my area of study because it has to do with understanding procedures and helping people with their day-to-day life. You may not need much of any educational requirement because working there allows you to make mistakes and learn from them. This internship entails that I be resourceful and take initiative on tasks. To be successful and obtain a full-time position in a career related to my internship, I must be able to work in a more efficient manner and pay careful attention to detail. Much of the work I do at the internship involves little analytical skill but rather it is more of an efficiency test. I would recommend to any incoming intern that they be open to taking initiative and understand that the work there feels tedious but that there is plenty to learn from the process. One last thing that I have to include is that I have loved this internship because of the amazing people that I have gotten to meet through this opportunity. If in an office space - I highly recommend that you strive to make connections with fellow interns because you will find out that you have a lot in common.

The hike to the summit was cookout menu challenging, but the breathtaking views were worth every step.
I'm so glad that you overall had a great experience! What a great thought to share about connecting with the people you work with- you're right, that's so important and you can learn a lot that way!
