This Summer, 2022, I had the opportunity to intern with Climate Action Nevada. This internship has helped me grow in better communication with people and taught me about activism. You can be an activist even at your home, starting with a little simple thing such as writing a letter to the editor. And I had the opportunity to write a letter to the editor to protect Avi Kwa Ame to the newspaper Las Vegas SUN. This has benefited me to help the communities and together safeguard something valuable.
Right now, this internship might not tie to my future career as a consultant, but I believe it will contribute to my communication and time-management skills. Not only that, but it helps me to see other people's perspective and allow me to satisfy different voice of their opinion and give courage to other people. It has given me a great experience because this helps me to let other people shine about their experiences, and being part of it has taught me every story has value. Also, it taught me to interact with different people, and for someone who is an introvert, it allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and speak up to others first. This experience was a meaningful experience I never thought I would do and something I would be scared to do.
I wouldn't choose to pursue a career in climate action even though it has given me a great experience because I do not see myself having the courage to speak in front of many people, and I get nervous, which leads me to stutter when speaking. Despite this, I have learned to get good communication experience, stop stutter while speaking, and be clear in addressing my message to people, which I think is a critical skill when I become a consultant.

So proud of you for working on your communication skills, amazing growth!
