Interning at Van Law Firm helped me with my future career because I got to experience how an everyday environment works at a law firm. It is busy and has you running around. I started as an intern for Van Law Firm and am now an employee. My internship does tie into my major as I am a Political Science Major and I do want to pursue law this ties into my future career perfectly. It teaches me what a lawyer and the people around him do to make sure that their client walks out happy along with the fact that they also end up happy. You learn the dedication it takes the long days and nights an attorney goes through for a case. Is not easy but a passion.
In order to be successful in this internship the educational requirement you need beforehand is knowing how to work certain computer programs and communication skills. After completing my internship and landing a job here I am more passionate to pursue my future career. The skills you need to land a full-time position here are patients being a good worker respecting your clients and working hard at this firm you don't slack off it teaches you that when you're in a work environment there are moments for fun and silliness but get your work done or risk being let go. A piece of advice I have for incoming interns is to enjoy the experience and learn from it don't be afraid to ask questions. Take the opportunities to learn from your mistakes and grow as a character and as a person.
