Duties: SASA is looking to fill internships in the following teams: Communications, Live Events, Outreach, Research, Executive Team, Access, Fundraising and Grant Writing, Archaeogaming, and Virtual Conference. Internship hours range between 10-15 hours per week, although we can accommodate up to 25 hours per week to meet requirements for college credit. Each team has a one-hour weekly team meeting; all other internship work is completed at times flexible for the intern. Interns log their hours using a program called Clockify. Specific duties vary, but interns can expect to read, write, edit and revise documents, do basic research, create content for internal or external dissemination, and communicate with other teams as necessary. Requirements: We are interested in working with and mentoring creative self-starters interested in using their internship to advance their career plans. We seek candidates who excel at working in remote environments, both alone and with a team. Interns may be undergraduates or graduates, the minimum age being 18. Pursuit of a degree in Ancient Studies is not required. As interns will be working with different teams, the requirements for internships are flexible, each team having their own specific needs. Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.) is preferred for all interns. Other desired skill sets include graphic design, video editing, event planning and hosting, social media, data mining, grant-writing, research, but these apply only to certain teams.
